Front-Line Worker Pay Working Group to Allocate Funds to Essential Workers

A Front-Line Worker Pay Working Group has been established to make recommendations to the Legislature regarding the disbursement of $250 million in direct financial support to front-line workers in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The group convened several times over the past three weeks to hear public testimony and discuss the eligibility criteria for who is to receive funds. The working group must submit their recommendations to the governor and House and Senate leadership by Sept. 6, 2021.
